Royal West Academy Foundation

Royal West Academy Foundation’s mission is simple—we fund capital projects that go beyond what regular school resources allow.

Thanks to your generosity, we’ve helped bring to life transformative spaces, including the library, the gym, the Performing Arts Centre, and Active Learning Classrooms (ALC).

To date we have delivered 4 ALCs,

Ø  Room 301 – Math & Science


Ø  Room 209 – English & Drama


Ø  Room 313 – History & Citizenship


Ø  Room 101 – Social Studies

… with a 5th currently in the design phase and delivery expected for the start of the 2026-2027 school year. 

Launched in 2022, the Active Learning Classroom (ALC) campaign reimagines classrooms as flexible, collaborative environments that support different learning styles and foster engagement, creativity, and critical thinking. These classrooms are not just upgrades—they represent a shift in how students learn.

The momentum is real. With each new classroom, we’re seeing growing interest from teachers who want to bring this model into their own spaces. Our goal is to continue expanding this initiative and make active learning the standard across Royal West Academy.
